Building the Mobility of Tomorrow Together
What We Do for a Greener Future:

Welcome to LIFE2M
A European project dedicated to sustainable micromobility. Funded by the LIFE Programme, it promotes innovative technologies and awareness campaigns to change the perception of microvehicles and make them an integral part of our cities.

Why It Matters
Pollution, traffic, and climate change demand new solutions for short-distance travel. LIFE2M aims to reduce consumption reduce consumption and environmental impact with hybrid batteries that last longer and cut ownership costs.

What We Deliver
Four pilot cities – L'Aquila, Palermo, Florence, and Brussels – are testing retrofitted e-bikes and LEONARDO vehicles, installing fast-charging stations, and monitoring results on the ground.

Who We Are
An international consortium led by the University of Florence, bringing together academic, technological, and institutional partners from Italy and Belgium to rethink urban mobility.

Innovation in Action
From composite material recovery to lightweight, foldable vehicles with SuperCap batteries, every component is designed for efficiency, recyclability, and longevity.

Results and Impact
The project has already achieved a 93% reduction in energy consumption, a 95% cut in air pollution, and an 85% drop in CO₂ emissions, proving the real potential of micromobility.

Events and Collaboration
From the EU Green Week to international conferences in Cyprus and Dubrovnik, LIFE2M takes part in major sustainability events, sharing results and building synergies.

Recognition
Articles by CINEA, ISPRA, and Platinum – Aziende & Protagonisti have highlighted LIFE2M as a model for future sustainable and circular urban mobility.
